Advanced Training in Otay Mesa

At SERVPRO® of Otay Mesa/San Ysidro, our employees are required to undergo initial and continuous training to stay current with new technological advancements and industry best practices. Our training program includes:

  • IICRC Training
  • Employee Certification Training
  • Initial Franchise Training
  • e-Learnings
  • Continuing Education Classes

Our technicians are certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), the nonprofit certifying body for the cleaning and restoration industry. Our technicians study IICRC standards and best practices in water restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, carpet and upholstery cleaning, and other cleaning and restoration courses.

Employee Certification Training

This voluntary program is self-paced and allows SERVPRO franchise employees to attain specialized training and certification in the following modules after completing the course materials and an examination:

  • Crew Training
  • Fire Restoration
  • Water Restoration
  • Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Initial, e-Learnings, and Continuing Education Classes

Initial training is a 15-day intensive held at the SERVPRO Corporate Training Facility. This is the basis for all SERVPRO training and covers many restoration topics, including:

  • Crew Training
  • Fire Restoration
  • Water Restoration
  • Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Ongoing education and e-learnings are provided through web-based training. It is a voluntary program that is designed to keep office staff and technicians up-to-speed on industry standards, allowing us to provide the high-quality service and support our residential and commercial business customers expect.
